Advanta Master Card Has Questionable Billing Practices

Advanta erroneously charged our business a $39 overlimit fee when we had never even come close to going over the limit, then "waived" it for us, but would not admit their error. Said they were doing so because we were such valued customers. What a crock. ALSO, internet payments are not credited in a timely manner, though our bank account is immediately debited. Most banks we deal with over the internet immediately post our payment or at the latest post it the next day. Advanta takes DAYS and sometimes over a week. To take the cake, my husband and I have an LLC for real estate development and when we recently purchased a large piece of property our fico score temporarily went down. All of a sudden Advanta more than doubled our interest rate, though we had never been late and had an excellent record with them and EXCELLENT credit history PLUS a very high income. We are paying off this card immediately and have vowed never to do business with them again. We want to WARN as many people as we can not to do business with this company. If we weren't so busy we would delve into this further and file complaints with the appropriate government officials, but this is all we have time for, so BEWARE OF ADVANTA!!!
